It has been one year since the SARS-CoV-2 (i.e. novel coronavirus, a new life form?) invaded our sector of the galaxy and began wreaking havoc in the United States with the devastation of the COVID-19 disease. The SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) virus trekked so relentlessly through our society (the textbook definition of “going viral”) that I commemorate it with this SARS TREK meme.
On my walk today, just as it started to rain, I captured this frame-worthy photo. In the frame are a score of fist-sized river rocks and a scattering of dried oak leaves, polka-dotted with the first droplets of a rain-shower.
