April Fool’s Day has always been a sort of second New Year’s Day for me. It provides me with a springtime-fresh start for new initiatives that might have – should have – could have come at New Year’s, but some reason, weren’t ready. Usually that reason is me: Not Ready Neddie. Well, this year is no different. (Last year was different though; last year, April 1st was a hard, sad day, as those closest to me know.)
Usually, on April Fool’s Day, I challenge myself to come out with something really creative, or at least I announce the concept.
Usually, just announcing the concept is all that’s required of a Conceptual Artist, even a self-styled one such as myself.
For your reference, here are two past conceptual art announcements:
So much that I mentioned in those two past announcements is finally going to come into play, years later, on this April Fool’s Day.
This year, I plan to split my personality.
I have a lot of personality, so there’s an ample amount to share. This website that you’re reading now, imagiNed.com, will feature my lighthearted and fun creativity for creativity’s sake, and the new (evil twin?) website, Im-agi-Ned.com, will feature my heavyhearted and agitated creativity for humanity’s sake.
That’s right, even though I’m single now, I can still split up if I want to, and I’m announcing it ahead of time.
OK, gotta go now, have tons of website work to get done for my two, new, soon to be split personal websites, not to mention even more tons of website work for my two new paying clients to keep them from even thinking of splitting.
