Given the alternatives between living like an artist and living like a mid-level manager, I know which choice I’ve embraced.

I don’t think I ever was cut out to be part of a “firm.” Sounds like a word best applied to a cantaloupe…. More than firm, I prefer to be fluid, like water, either hard or soft or anywhere in between, depending on the energy of the interaction.
